The University of York is committed to making the Discover digital library platform accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This statement applies to content published on the discover.york.ac.uk domain and not to other University subdomains.
How accessible this website is
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- Zoom in up to 500% without loss of content or functionality
- Navigate using only a keyboard
- Use speech recognition software
- Use a screen reader to listen to content
Some parts of the site, particularly the dynamic viewer and deep zoom images, may have accessibility limitations.
Known accessibility issues
- Deep zoom image viewer may not fully support keyboard navigation
- Some links and controls may not be clearly announced by screen readers
- Colour contrast in parts of the image viewer may not meet recommended standards
- Some interactive elements may have focus or tab order issues
